Clients should look forward to meeting Année’s consultants

Our story

The way we play

At Année Advisory, we firmly believe that as an advisor, you need to excel not only in the strategic phases but also in execution. “The devil is in the details, and a great idea or strategy is worthless if not executed with precision and passion,” says Daniel Bergsten, Managing Partner at Année Advisory.

Daniel Bergsten co-founded the agency Narva Communications, which, from 2000 to 2021, grew into one of the largest agencies in the Nordics with solid profitability. In 2018, the majority of Narva was sold, and the founders left in 2021. By then, Narva had 65 employees, a turnover of approximately 110 million SEK, and strong profitability.

Staffan Bruzaeus, Année Advisory’s other Managing Partner, also has roots at Narva Communications. Staffan joined Narva in 2008 and, from 2013, led the agency’s offering to listed companies, the largest part of the business. During Staffan’s ten-year tenure, the business area set revenue records every year.

A New Star Is Born

When Année Advisory launched in 2024, it entered a transformed landscape. Sustainability is now fully integrated into capital market communications, and the environment in which companies communicate is far more complex. Investors and short-sellers alike voice their opinions in new forums, and there are many new channels and voices shaping the image of companies.

“Année was created for this new landscape, and we are building a team that will be the strongest in the Nordics. That’s our clear ambition,” says Staffan Bruzaeus.

While the world has changed, some timeless truths remain. To build a strong agency that clients appreciate, certain core principles still apply.

Join Our Joyride

At Année, we believe in having fun while working. Clients should look forward to meeting Année’s consultants, and our team should enjoy working with both clients and colleagues.

“We tackle some really tough challenges at Année. It requires hard work and sometimes long hours, but we believe the results are better when we have fun along the way,” says Staffan Bruzaeus.

We’re Playing the Long Game

Striking a healthy balance between work and life is key to people’s well-being. We want our talented team to stay with us for the long haul, and that requires not just stimulating work but also time to unplug and recharge.

“Generally, I think people don’t stay long enough in their roles. Almost everyone who’s had an exciting career has spent considerable time at at least one place. When we recruit, we look for people who not only have the right skills but also take a long-term view of their work,” says Daniel Bergsten.

“We’re seeing great interest in Année from both clients and potential team members. It’s a fantastic affirmation that our offering and our approach to business are resonating,” adds Staffan Bruzaeus.
